Demand for tickets to see the Algerian national team, Les Fennecs, at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Morocco has reached fever pitch. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that tickets for all of Algeria’s group stage matches have completely sold out during the second phase of ticket sales.
The tournament, scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, has generated significant excitement across the continent and beyond. Following the unprecedented demand witnessed in the first two sales phases, the third phase commenced on Saturday. CAF officials confirmed that tickets for Algeria’s matches, along with those of the host nation, Morocco, were the first to be snapped up.
The initial two phases saw a staggering 298,000 tickets purchased by fans hailing from 33 African countries and 106 nations worldwide. CAF revealed that the highest demand originated from Morocco, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, highlighting the strong international interest in the tournament.
Algeria will compete in Group alongside Sudan, Equatorial Guinea, and Burkina Faso. Les Fennecs will kick off their campaign on December 24 against Sudan, followed by a match against Burkina Faso on December 28. They will conclude the group stage with a game against Equatorial Guinea on December 31.
The rapid sell-out of tickets for Algeria’s matches underscores the team’s immense popularity and the high expectations surrounding their performance at AFCON 2025.
