Algiers – Hichem Bodaoui and Mohamed Amine Amoura have been released from the Algerian national team’s training camp currently underway in Saudi Arabia. The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced the decision, citing concerns for the players’ well-being and ensuring their fitness for upcoming competitions.
According to a statement released by the FAF, the national team’s technical staff made the decision after medical examinations revealed that both players were not fully fit. Bodaoui arrived at the training camp with muscular pain. He underwent a specialized training program in recent days, but a final medical assessment determined that he would be unable to participate in the friendly match scheduled for Tuesday against Saudi Arabia. As a result, he was released to prevent further injury.
Similarly, medical tests revealed that striker Mohamed Amine Amoura is suffering from an adductor muscle injury. This requires a period of rest and a treatment program to allow him sufficient time to regain his fitness before returning to competitive play. The FAF statement confirmed that Amoura is also excused from the match against Saudi Arabia. DZWatch will continue to provide updates on the players’ conditions as they become available.
