Algiers, November 17, 2025 – Northern Algeria is bracing for a cold and active weather disturbance expected to bring snowfall to higher elevations this weekend, according to the National Meteorological Office.
The weather system will initially impact western and central regions of the country starting Thursday, November 20th. The effects are then forecast to extend eastward by Friday.
DZWatch has learned that the first snowfall of the season is anticipated on inland highlands throughout Friday and Saturday. This will be accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures across all northern regions.
