Algiers – The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced an extension to the application period for membership in the National University Committee. This decision allows more time for candidates to prepare and submit their applications.
The Ministry has officially extended the deadline for submitting applications via the digital platform “PROGRES”. The new deadline is November 24, 2025. Previously, the application window was set to close earlier.
University institutions, represented by deans and university directors, will now review and process candidate files, and approve the list of accepted candidates between November 25, 2025, and December 6, 2025. This phase is crucial for ensuring that all applications meet the required criteria.
Regional committees will oversee the file review process and rank candidates according to specialized reference conditions from December 7, 2025, to December 11, 2025. This step is part of the final preparation of the list of candidates for membership in the National University Committee.
The program also includes the preparation of the final list by the regional committees, with central approval of the final list scheduled for December 16, 2025. This centralized approval ensures consistency and fairness in the selection process.
The process will conclude on December 17, 2025, with the signing of the ministerial decision by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, formally establishing the composition of the National University Committee.
