Algiers, November 17, 2025 – Several provinces across Algeria are bracing for severe thunderstorms, according to the national meteorological service. A weather alert has been issued, warning residents to prepare for heavy rainfall and potential disruptions.
The affected provinces include, but are not limited to: El Tarf, Annaba, Skikda, Jijel, Bejaia, Boumerdes, Algiers, Tipaza, Oran, Ain Temouchent, Mila, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Ain Defla, M’Sila, Djelfa, Laghouat, Souk Ahras, Tebessa, Guelma, Constantine, Khenchela, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Biskra, Ouled Djellal, El M’Ghair, and El Oued.
A separate alert indicates a high probability of thunderstorms in the following provinces: El Tarf, Annaba, Skikda, Jijel, Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Boumerdes, Algiers, Tipaza, Chlef, Mostaganem, Oran, Ain Temouchent, Tlemcen, Mila, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Bouira, Medea, Blida, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, Relizane, and Mascara.
Furthermore, the alert extends to the provinces of M’Sila, Djelfa, Tiaret, Laghouat, Saida, Sidi Bel Abbes, Naama, Souk Ahras, Tebessa, Guelma, Constantine, Khenchela, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Biskra, Ouled Djellal, El M’Ghair, El Oued, and El Bayadh.
