Saudis hailed for heroic rescue of Chinese engineers in Hail

A group of Saudi citizens is being lauded as heroes after rescuing several Chinese engineers whose vehicle was overturned by flash floods in the Hail region. The incident occurred in the Al-Shamli governorate, southwest of Hail.

Ahmed Nasser Al-Anzi, a resident of Al-Shamli, quickly gained recognition on social media after journalist Bandar Al-Ghadouri shared a video documenting the rescue. The video shows Al-Anzi and his friends pulling the engineers from their submerged vehicle.

The video quickly went viral, drawing widespread praise and attention, including from the Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Zhang Hua. The Ambassador expressed his gratitude, stating: “Thank you to my Saudi friends! Your heroic courage embodies the tenderness of humanity. May God reward you.”

The Chinese diplomat further praised the act as a demonstration of solidarity between the two nations. Social media users have called for Al-Anzi and his companions to be honored for their bravery, highlighting the rescue as an act of humanity reflecting the noble character of the Saudi people and the strong friendship between Saudi Arabia and China.

Many online commentators emphasized that such acts speak volumes about the genuine bonds built on kindness and goodwill. They asserted that true strength stems from morality rather than mere self-interest.
