Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Mr. Davide Tizzano, President of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games (ICMG), and his accompanying delegation today, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Presidential Palace.
The meeting underscores Algeria’s commitment to the Mediterranean Games and its ongoing collaboration with the ICMG. Discussions reportedly focused on the future of the Games, potential improvements to the organization, and strategies for enhancing participation and engagement from member nations.
President Tebboune reaffirmed Algeria’s strong support for the Mediterranean Games as a vital platform for promoting sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and regional cooperation across the Mediterranean region. He emphasized the importance of the Games in fostering unity and understanding among the participating countries.
Mr. Tizzano expressed his gratitude to President Tebboune for the warm reception and reiterated the ICMG’s commitment to working closely with Algeria to further develop the Mediterranean Games.
