Algiers, November 19, 2025 – Algeria and Vietnam are joining forces to develop a significant economic partnership, aiming to elevate bilateral relations to a strategic level. Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib, alongside Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, inaugurated the Algerian-Vietnamese Economic Forum today, themed “For a Productive and Sustainable Economic Partnership.”
The forum, which saw the participation of over 200 economic operators, government officials, and high-ranking representatives from both countries, reflects the strong political will of both leaderships to enhance economic cooperation. It builds upon the deep-rooted historical ties of cooperation and solidarity between Algeria and Vietnam.
The event aims to facilitate business connections and foster diverse partnerships between Algerian and Vietnamese economic players. It also seeks to explore new investment opportunities, leveraging the vast potential offered by both economies. Discussions will focus on identifying avenues for collaboration in key sectors including hydrocarbons, petrochemical industries, textiles, energy and renewable energy, transportation, banking and e-payment, agriculture and food processing, mining, digitalization and artificial intelligence, information and communication technology, tourism, and services.
The forum will continue with direct bilateral meetings between economic operators from both nations, fostering deeper exploration of collaborative ventures. Prime Minister Ghrib emphasized Algeria’s commitment, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to elevate relations with Vietnam to a strategic partnership. He highlighted the significant economic reforms implemented and the national infrastructure projects undertaken, along with the incentives that make Algeria an attractive investment destination. He urged business leaders from both countries to work together to diversify partnerships, particularly in vital sectors of mutual priority.
This partnership is expected to boost economic growth and create new opportunities for businesses in both Algeria and Vietnam.
