Algiers – A national competition to recognize the best managers of university business incubators is set to launch soon, DZWatch has learned. The National Coordination Committee for Monitoring Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Universities is organizing the event under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The competition aims to celebrate outstanding individuals who are fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within Algerian universities. Awards will be given across several categories:
- University Business Incubator Managers: Three managers will be selected based on their effectiveness in managing university incubators and supporting students and startups.
- Entrepreneurship Development Center Directors: Three directors will be evaluated on their ability to promote an entrepreneurial culture and support the creation of new ventures.
- Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI) Managers: Three managers will be recognized for their significant contributions to the development of innovation and technology within universities.
- Artificial Intelligence House Directors: Three directors will be awarded for their efforts in disseminating the culture of artificial intelligence and developing related projects.
Winners in each category will receive a substantial financial prize in recognition of their outstanding efforts in the field of innovation and university entrepreneurship. This initiative aims to strengthen the role of universities in developing skills and supporting emerging projects.
The Committee stated that full details regarding the conditions of participation, the nomination process, and the official dates of the competition will be announced at a later date.
