Jazzy Celebrates Innovation at Tech Innov Finale

Sidi Abdellah, Algeria – The national hackathon, ‘Tech Innov,’ concluded today at the Sidi Abdellah University Technology Hub, with mobile operator Jazzy awarding the top innovators. The event, organized in partnership with the National Agency for the Valorization of Research and Technological Development, stems from a 2023 agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education.

The closing ceremony saw a significant official presence, including the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Baddari, and the Minister of Economy, Knowledge, and Startups & Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouahdi. The presence of the Wali Delegate of Sidi Abdellah and Inas Belil, Director General of the National Agency for the Valorization of Research and Technological Development, underscored the initiative’s importance in bolstering the national innovation ecosystem.

For three days, students, researchers, and startup founders competed to develop innovative digital solutions in areas such as digital transformation, particularly concerning industry, immersive experiences, and social inclusion. The competition showcased a high level of creativity, with participating teams presenting practical technical projects addressing the needs of the rapidly evolving digital economy.

During the closing ceremony, ministers and official delegates, alongside representatives from Jazzy, presented awards and prizes to the winning teams in recognition of their outstanding projects and their potential to become viable solutions. Jazzy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting young innovators and valorizing scientific research outputs through this initiative. The company pledged to continue supporting promising technological projects that contribute to strengthening the national digital economy.
