The Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Grib, arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt today, Tuesday, for an official visit. The visit marks the commencement of the ninth session of the Algerian-Egyptian Joint High Committee for Cooperation.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, welcomed Mr. Grib upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport.
The meeting is a direct result of directives issued by Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during President Tebboune’s visit to Egypt last October. It reflects their shared commitment to strengthening the bonds of fraternity and historical solidarity between the two nations and their people. The focus remains on bolstering bilateral cooperation across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on trade and investment.
The ninth session of the Joint High Committee is expected to witness the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding. These agreements will encompass various areas of cooperation and establish a roadmap for continued joint efforts to enhance the partnership between the two countries.
Prime Minister Grib is accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation. This delegation includes the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and National Planning; the Minister of Finance; the Minister of Industry; the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies; the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City; and the Minister of Vocational Training and Education.
