In an unprecedented military operation against Israel, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), launched “Aqsa Storm” on Saturday morning. This operation involved the firing of thousands of rockets, infiltration into Israeli settlements, and the killing and capture of dozens of Israelis.

Mohammed al-Dayf, the commander of the al-Qassam Brigades, announced the beginning of “Aqsa Storm” against Israel and the launch of thousands of rockets in its direction in a recorded message. He stated that the initial strike of the operation involved over 5,000 rockets and shells targeting Israel.

Since the morning, Palestinian resistance forces have launched intensive rocket barrages from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. In addition to this, there have been ground, sea, and air infiltrations. Alarms sounded in various regions, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Ashdod, and Ashkelon.

The Israeli military spokesperson activated the Iron Dome defense system and sounded alarm sirens. The Israeli army declared a state of war following the infiltration of Palestinians into the heart of Israel.

Later, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a recorded statement, declared, “We are in a state of war, and we will emerge victorious.”

This significant development reflects the ongoing tensions in the region and the escalation of the conflict from both sides.
