Cairo, Egypt – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt today, Tuesday, for an official visit. The visit marks the commencement of the ninth session of the Joint Algerian-Egyptian High Committee for Cooperation.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s office, Prime Minister Ghrib was received at Cairo International Airport by his Egyptian counterpart, Mostafa Madbouly.
This session is being held in accordance with the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, issued during President Tebboune’s visit to Egypt last October. The meeting also reflects their commitment to strengthening the historic bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between the two nations and their peoples, and to fostering bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Special focus will be placed on enhancing trade and investment opportunities between Algeria and Egypt.
The current session is expected to result in the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding. These agreements will cover numerous areas of cooperation and establish a roadmap for continued joint efforts to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
Prime Minister Ghrib is accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation, including the Minister of Interior and Local Authorities and Transportation, Said Sayoud; the Minister of Finance, Abdelkrim Boualzar; the Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir; the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Fisheries, Yacine Oualid; the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjal; the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi; and the Minister of Vocational Training and Education, Arhab Nassima.
