Luanda, Angola – Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held discussions with his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Nafti, in Luanda earlier today. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 7th African Union-European Union Summit, held in the Angolan capital on November 24th and 25th, 2025.
According to a statement released by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both ministers expressed their satisfaction with the excellent level of fraternal relations and cooperation between Algeria and Tunisia. They reviewed preparations for the upcoming session of the Joint Algerian-Tunisian High Commission.
The discussions also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on the evolving situation in neighboring Libya, as well as prospects for strengthening the role of neighboring countries in helping to bridge the gap between the various parties in the conflict. Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to supporting a peaceful and inclusive resolution to the Libyan crisis.
Minister Attaf emphasized Algeria’s continued commitment to fostering stability and security in the region, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts to address shared challenges. Minister Nafti echoed these sentiments, underscoring Tunisia’s dedication to working closely with Algeria on issues of mutual concern.
