Algerian PM Visits Cairo, Strengthening Strategic Partnership

Cairo – Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo today, marking the commencement of his official visit to Egypt. The visit coincides with the 9th session of the Joint Algerian-Egyptian High Committee.

During the meeting held at the Al-Ittihadiya Palace, Prime Minister Ghrib conveyed fraternal greetings from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his profound appreciation to his Egyptian counterpart. He emphasized Algeria’s commitment to continued joint efforts aimed at bolstering fraternal relations and expanding partnership prospects across various economic and developmental domains.

President El-Sisi, in turn, expressed his deep appreciation for President Tebboune, commending the ongoing communication between the two leaders and its role in solidifying bilateral cooperation. He affirmed the special place Algeria holds for Egypt, both in leadership, government, and among the people, given the shared history and unified struggle that unites the two nations.

President El-Sisi highlighted that Algeria and Egypt are pivotal pillars in maintaining stability in the Arab region and North Africa. He emphasized the continued coordination and consultation between the two countries on various regional and international issues, as well as the enhancement of joint action to safeguard their shared interests.

The Egyptian President also acknowledged the existing level of partnership between the two countries and the joint economic projects, affirming Cairo’s readiness to support all initiatives that would elevate economic cooperation and expand mutual investments. He expressed his hope for the success of the 9th session of the Joint High Committee, stressing the importance of following up on the implementation of its recommendations to ensure tangible results that serve both countries.

Prime Minister Ghrib affirmed that the strong historical ties between Algeria and Egypt form a solid foundation for developing cooperation. He pointed out the keenness of both countries’ leaderships to propel the bilateral partnership towards broader horizons, particularly in promising economic sectors. This visit underscores the commitment of both nations to deepening their strategic alliance and fostering greater economic prosperity through enhanced collaboration.
