Louisa Hanoune: Workers’ Party Submits Proposals on Political Parties Law

Workers’ Party Secretary-General Louisa Hanoune announced on Tuesday that she discussed several national issues with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, including the proposed law on political parties. She noted that her party had submitted practical proposals regarding the legislation.

Following her meeting with the President, Hanoune stated that she raised concerns about civil registry matters and electoral lists, particularly for residents of the newly established provinces. She emphasized that the upcoming elections would be a critical and distinct stage, given the current international and regional context and its associated challenges.

Hanoune described the meeting with President Tebboune as frank and open, allowing her to convey various concerns related to public life. She affirmed that the Workers’ Party is committed to providing national solutions to domestic issues, while firmly rejecting any external interference.

“We are dedicated to safeguarding our country’s sovereignty and advocating for national solutions,” she stated.

The meeting also addressed matters of national interest, including economic, social, and political developments. Furthermore, discussions included the Palestinian cause and Algeria’s ongoing role in supporting it.
