Heavy Rainfall Warning Issued for Coastal Regions

DZWatch Exclusive: Coastal regions of Algeria are bracing for heavy rainfall, with a special weather advisory in effect until Thursday. The national meteorological services have issued warnings for several provinces, urging residents to take necessary precautions.

The advisory specifically highlights the provinces of Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, and Bejaia, where rainfall amounts are expected to range between 20 and 40 millimeters. This period of intense precipitation began Wednesday at 9:00 PM and is expected to continue until Thursday at the same time.

In these areas, rainfall is predicted to be heavier, ranging from 30 to 50 millimeters, with the possibility of exceeding 60 millimeters in some coastal localities. This weather system commenced at noon on Wednesday and is forecasted to persist at least until 9:00 PM on Thursday.
