Algeria, Egypt Forge Stronger Partnership for Mutual Benefit

Algiers, November 26, 2025 – The Algerian-Egyptian partnership is evolving into a promising framework for achieving mutual benefit, according to recent statements following the 9th session of the Joint Algerian-Egyptian Higher Committee for Cooperation.

Prime Minister Sifi Gherib expressed his satisfaction with the positive outcomes of the committee’s work. In a joint statement released after the signing of several cooperation agreements between Algeria and Egypt, the Prime Minister emphasized that these agreements “reflect the richness and diversity of the Algerian-Egyptian partnership and indicate the existence of many opportunities that must be further exploited.”

Gherib stated that “the dynamism of relations between the two countries derives its strength from the deep bonds of historical solidarity and cooperation between the Algerian and Egyptian people, who have been able to draw common epics throughout history, which will remain a source of inspiration for all generations in order to build and strengthen cooperation and promote partnership between them to the highest levels.”

Furthermore, the Prime Minister mentioned that during his meeting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, he sensed a strong desire to continue working with his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to consolidate cooperative relations and intensify coordination and consultation, especially in light of the circumstances facing the Arab world.

Sifi Gherib considered the session “a good opportunity to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the level of cooperation between the two countries and review ways to develop it in light of the great opportunities offered by the exceptional dynamism of the economies of both countries.”

He also affirmed that trade exchange between the two countries is growing steadily, and investment and partnership projects are recording an increase that is a source of pride and satisfaction, covering many promising areas such as energy, petrochemicals, the electrical industry, and the pharmaceutical industry, in addition to construction, public works, services, and agriculture.

“I can say with pride that the Algerian-Egyptian partnership has today become a promising framework for achieving greater integration, maximizing mutual benefit, and promoting positive and fruitful interaction between the people of the two countries to build a bright future,” Gherib concluded. This renewed commitment signals a strengthening of ties between the two nations across various sectors.
