Cairo – The ninth session of the Algerian-Egyptian High Joint Committee for Cooperation concluded this Wednesday afternoon in Cairo. The meeting was held under the co-chairmanship of Algerian Prime Minister, Sifi Gherib, and the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mostafa Madbouly.
During the session, the Algerian Prime Minister, along with his Egyptian counterpart, oversaw the signing ceremony of 18 agreements, memorandums of understanding, and cooperation programs between the two countries. These agreements cover a wide range of sectors, including housing, interior affairs, vocational training, as well as culture and solidarity.
The Algerian Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the positive outcomes of the ninth session of the High Joint Committee. He emphasized that the partnership between the two countries has become a promising framework for achieving greater integration and mutual benefit.
“The dynamism in relations between our nations derives its strength from the deep-rooted bonds of solidarity and historical cooperation between the Algerian and Egyptian peoples,” stated Prime Minister Gherib. “These bonds have allowed us to forge shared epics throughout history, which will remain a source of inspiration for all generations in building and strengthening cooperation and promoting the partnership between us to the highest levels.”
The session took place between the 23rd and 26th of this month. Preparatory work began at the expert level, followed by ministerial-level discussions. These discussions focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations and capitalize on various opportunities for cooperation across different fields before the session concluded today.
On the sidelines of the session, the Prime Minister, together with his Egyptian counterpart, also inaugurated the Algerian-Egyptian Business Forum, which was held in New Cairo. During the opening session, Mr. Gherib delivered a speech addressing the frameworks of economic cooperation, highlighting the importance of developing bilateral partnerships in various economic and investment sectors. He stressed how this contributes to promoting sustainable development, supporting common interests, and opening new horizons for joint cooperation.
