The Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 has announced a significant increase in the total prize money for the tournament, exceeding $36.5 million. This move aims to enhance the appeal of the competition on both the Arab and international stages.
According to an official statement, each participating national team will receive $715,000. Reaching the quarter-finals will earn a team $1,073,000. The financial rewards escalate for the top finishers, with the fourth-place team receiving $2,146,000, the third-place team $2,862,000, and the runner-up $4,293,000. The champion will be awarded a substantial $7,155,000.
This financial structure is designed to incentivize teams to compete fiercely throughout all stages of the tournament.
The first round of matches will take place between December 1st and 4th, followed by the second round between December 6th and 9th. The third round is scheduled for December 12th and 13th. Goal difference will be used as the tie-breaker in case of multiple teams having the same number of points.
The quarter-finals are set for December 12th and 13th, with the semi-finals on December 15th. The third-place match will be held on December 17th, and the grand final will take place at the iconic Lusail Stadium on December 18th.
