Algeria’s AFCON 2025 Match Time Adjusted by CAF

Algiers, Algeria – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a change to the kickoff time for Algeria’s opening match in the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

According to an official statement released earlier today, Algeria’s highly anticipated clash with Sudan, originally scheduled for 1:00 PM, has been moved to 4:00 PM Algerian time. The match, part of Group E, will still take place on December 24th as planned.

The Desert Foxes will continue their AFCON campaign with a match against Burkina Faso on December 28th at 6:30 PM. They will then face Equatorial Guinea on December 31st at 5:00 PM. These times remain unchanged.

The reason for the time adjustment has not been officially disclosed by CAF. However, sources suggest the change may be due to logistical considerations or broadcasting schedules.
