DZWatch Exclusive: Algerian Civil Protection units successfully conducted two separate rescue operations today, extracting citizens trapped due to severe weather conditions in the provinces of Bejaia and M’Sila.
In Bejaia province, Civil Protection teams managed to free three vehicles carrying a total of seven individuals. The vehicles were stranded by heavy snowfall in the Fournan area. The rescue operation required specialized equipment to clear the roads and ensure the safety of the stranded individuals until they were safely relocated.
Meanwhile, in the province of M’Sila, specifically in the municipality of El Maadid, authorities intervened to rescue three cars and a truck that had become stuck in the Ouled Mansour region due to icy conditions. These vehicles carried another seven people. Civil Protection units successfully rescued all seven individuals and transported them to safer locations.
