Hassi Messaoud, Algeria – A devastating traffic accident on National Route 3, approximately 80 kilometers southeast of Ouargla towards Hassi Messaoud, resulted in the death of five people on Wednesday evening. The incident also left two individuals with varying degrees of injuries, according to Civil Protection services.
The collision, which occurred between a utility vehicle and a passenger car, claimed the lives of three individuals at the scene. Tragically, two more victims succumbed to their injuries while being transported to the hospital. The deceased ranged in age from three months to 56 years old.
Civil Protection units responded swiftly to the scene, transporting the two injured individuals to the ‘Hussein Ait Ahmed’ Public Hospital in Hassi Messaoud, where they are currently receiving medical treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the hospital’s morgue.
