Algiers – Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, received Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, at the headquarters of the People’s National Army on November 27, 2025.
The meeting was attended by heads of departments and central directors of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of the People’s National Army, as well as members of the Russian delegation.
During the discussions, both parties reviewed the progress of military-technical cooperation between Algeria and Russia. Key topics included advancements in joint projects and future areas for collaboration.
The discussions also addressed issues of mutual interest, signaling a continued commitment to strengthening defense ties between the two nations. This meeting underscores the strategic importance of the Algeria-Russia partnership in the realm of military and technical cooperation.
