November 28, 2025 – Heavy snowfall has led to the closure of several national and local roads across multiple provinces, disrupting traffic flow, according to the National Gendarmerie’s Traffic Information and Coordination Center. The latest update, issued at 11:05 AM, details the affected routes.
The National Road 33, specifically the section connecting Bouira and Tizi Ouzou, is closed at Tikjda in Asnames and Akouker in Bechloul due to significant snow accumulation. Similarly, National Road 15 is impassable at Col Tirourda in the municipality of Aghbalou.
In Tizi Ouzou province, several other roads are affected. National Road 33 is closed at Assoul in the municipality of Ait Boumahdi, and National Road 15 is blocked at Fdj Tirourda in the municipality of Iferhounene. Additionally, National Road 30 is closed at Tizi N’Koulal in the municipality of Iboudraren, and along the section connecting Boghni and Tala Guilef.
The Provincial Road 253 is also closed at Fdj Chellata in the municipality of Illilten, in the direction of Bejaia.
In Souk Ahras province, National Road 81, which connects with Guelma, is closed at the municipality of Ain Soltane due to heavy snowfall.
Authorities have stated that all other roads remain open to traffic. However, motorists are strongly advised to exercise caution and vigilance while traveling, given the prevailing weather conditions. Drivers should check road conditions before embarking on journeys, especially in mountainous regions.
