Algiers – The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, alongside the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouahdouche, participated in a virtual meeting with a selection of Algerian students and graduates from prestigious European institutions. This engagement aligns with the ongoing series of meetings aimed at connecting with various actors within the Algerian diaspora, particularly the youth and student segments.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the virtual forum, which took place on Saturday, builds upon previous discussions held between the Secretary of State and Algerian university students across Europe. The meeting was organized by the Association of Algerian Students and Executives in France (ECAF), in collaboration with the Algerian General Consulate in Paris. Representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research also participated.
The interactive session provided a platform for the government officials to highlight the importance the state places on Algerian talent abroad, with a specific focus on the student population. Efforts and incentives across various sectors were showcased, aiming to address the aspirations of these individuals and strengthen their role as active contributors to Algeria’s development process.
Furthermore, the meeting served as an opportunity to engage with concrete proposals and ideas presented by the participants. The officials reiterated their commitment to addressing these suggestions with the attention and care they deserve. The dialogue underscores the government’s dedication to fostering stronger ties with Algerian students and graduates residing in Europe, recognizing their potential to contribute to the nation’s progress.
