Algiers, Algeria – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received Namibia’s Minister of International Relations and Trade, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, in Algiers yesterday. The meeting took place on the eve of Algeria hosting the International Conference on “Colonial Crimes in Africa” scheduled for November 30th, and the 12th edition of the “Oran Process” on Peace and Security in Africa, slated for December 1st, 2025.
According to a statement released by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers engaged in discussions centered on the current state of bilateral relations between Algeria and Namibia. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening these ties across various sectors, including economic, political, and cultural domains.
A key focus of the meeting was the exchange of perspectives on unifying the African approach to addressing peace and security issues on the continent. Particular attention was given to coordinating strategies within the United Nations Security Council to ensure a more effective and cohesive African voice on critical global matters.
Minister Attaf and Minister Nandi-Ndaitwah reiterated their commitment to fostering closer cooperation and collaboration between Algeria and Namibia, further solidifying the partnership between the two nations. The upcoming conferences in Algiers are expected to provide further opportunities for dialogue and collaboration on key issues affecting the African continent.
The meeting underscores Algeria’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its diplomatic ties with African nations and to play a leading role in promoting peace and security across the continent.
