CSC Facing Financial Hurdles, Promises Stability

Constantine – In a press conference held today, Tarek Arama, the interim General Manager of Club Sportif Constantinois (CSC), addressed pressing issues facing the club and pledged to restore stability. Arama emphasized his commitment to transparency and restructuring the club’s internal operations.

Arama began by expressing solidarity with Abdelhakim Serrar, former president of ES Setif, wishing him a speedy recovery. He then thanked the supporters for their unwavering support and acknowledged the trust placed in him by the management, affirming their commitment to providing all available resources. Arama also expressed gratitude to local authorities, particularly the Governor of Constantine, for their crucial support during challenging times.

“I have returned to unite the CSC family,” Arama stated, alluding to previous obstacles that hindered the team’s progress despite achieving significant results, including finishing as league runner-up and reaching the semi-finals of the Algerian Cup. He highlighted a substantial increase in expenditures, exceeding 57%, questioning the necessity of prolonged hotel stays for players during preparations, which he deemed a significant financial burden on the club. He also noted that some technical staff and a player remain lodged at the hotel.

Arama stressed the need for new player acquisitions across all positions. However, he cautioned that the club is currently under a transfer ban due to pending cases with FIFA, including complaints from Nkumbi, Nigerian player Samson (who won his case), and other files involving Messaibeh, Guibou, Benchaa, and Bouguera.

Arama affirmed that the administration is working urgently to resolve these disputes in preparation for the upcoming transfer window. He stated that his immediate priority is to meet with the coach to determine which players will be released. “We currently have only two available licenses,” he concluded, highlighting the urgency of addressing the existing issues to facilitate new signings and strengthen the team.
