President’s Initiative Spearheads Conference on Colonial Crimes in Africa

Algiers, November 30, 2025 – Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune is being lauded for his pivotal role in initiating the upcoming International Conference on Colonial Crimes in Africa. The announcement was made today by Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, at the Abdellatif Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers.

Minister Attaf emphasized the President’s foresight in recognizing the need for a global forum to address the historical injustices inflicted upon the African continent during the colonial era. The conference, scheduled to take place in Algiers, aims to bring together leading scholars, historians, legal experts, and representatives from various African nations to examine the long-lasting consequences of colonialism.
