Oran, Algeria – December 1, 2025 – The Oran Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in identifying potential victims of a suspected fraud. This announcement comes as part of an ongoing investigation into a case of alleged swindling and deception.
According to a statement released by the Oran Police, authorities have apprehended a suspect identified as F.B. The arrest was made by officers of the 9th Urban Security Division, acting under the authority granted by the Public Prosecutor at the Flaoussen Court, in accordance with Article 26 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The police statement further elaborated, stating: “In accordance with legal procedures, and with the authorization of the Public Prosecutor at the Flaoussen Court, the Oran Police Department informs the public that the 9th Urban Security Division has detained the individual pictured, known as F.B., who is suspected of involvement in a fraud and deception case.”
In light of these developments, the Oran Police Department is urging anyone who believes they may have been a victim of F.B.’s alleged fraudulent activities to come forward. This includes individuals who have had direct dealings with the suspect or those who possess information relevant to the case.
“We appeal to any person who may have been a victim of the aforementioned individual, whether through direct interaction or as a witness with pertinent information, to contact the relevant department or to directly approach the Public Prosecutor at the Flaoussen Court to file a complaint regarding their experience with fraud or deception, or to provide their testimony in the current case,” the statement concluded.
The Oran Police Department emphasizes the importance of public cooperation in resolving this case and ensuring that justice is served. Any information, no matter how small, could prove valuable to the investigation.
