Zerouki Unveils Ambitious Plan to Conquer Global Market

Algiers, December 1, 2025 – Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerouki, today announced an ambitious plan to propel Algeria into the global market through strategic development of its call center industry.

Minister Zerouki held a meeting with key economic players active in the call center sector to explore avenues for boosting its growth and increasing job creation for young Algerians. Discussions centered on supporting call center operations and assisting companies in expanding their services within the national market. The Minister emphasized the importance of participating in specialized international exhibitions to secure new contracts and establish Algeria as a competitive regional player.

The meeting also addressed administrative obstacles hindering the sector’s progress. Minister Zerouki affirmed the government’s commitment to streamlining processes and creating a more efficient business environment to facilitate the achievement of strategic goals.

He highlighted the recent inauguration of a joint call center in Ouargla, a collaborative project between Algérie Poste, Mobilis, and Algérie Télécom, which has already created over 400 jobs, with plans to expand to 1,000 positions by the first half of 2026. This project aligns with a broader vision to invest in call center services, aiming to generate 10,000 jobs by early 2027 and achieve $150 million in revenue that same year. The long-term objective is to reach $1.2 billion in revenue by 2029, creating 300,000 jobs, signaling Algeria’s entry into a promising regional and international market.

The Minister reiterated the sector’s ongoing support for this initiative through the promotion of modern call center establishment and the development of skilled personnel capable of delivering high-quality services. Efforts will focus on expanding these opportunities, particularly in the interior and southern regions of the country, to stimulate further employment.
