Algiers – Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouideri, held discussions on Monday with Belarusian Minister of Health, Alexander Khodzhayev, focusing on strengthening cooperation in the production of medicines and medical supplies.
The meeting, as detailed in a statement released by the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, centered on identifying opportunities to bolster the collaborative efforts between Algeria and Belarus in the pharmaceutical sector. Both ministers expressed a strong interest in fostering a mutually beneficial partnership that would enhance the capabilities of both nations in meeting their respective healthcare needs.
Key areas of discussion included joint ventures in pharmaceutical manufacturing, technology transfer, and the exchange of expertise in the production of essential medicines. The ministers also explored the possibility of establishing collaborative research and development programs aimed at developing innovative pharmaceutical solutions.
Minister Kouideri emphasized Algeria’s commitment to developing a robust and self-sufficient pharmaceutical industry, highlighting the importance of international partnerships in achieving this goal. He noted that Belarus possesses significant expertise and advanced technologies in certain areas of pharmaceutical production, making it a valuable partner for Algeria.
Minister Khodzhayev echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Belarus’s desire to expand its pharmaceutical cooperation with Algeria.
