Algiers – The National Office for Hajj and Umrah has issued an important reminder for those who won the Hajj lottery for the 1447 AH/2026 season. Winners are urged to finalize all necessary administrative procedures before the deadlines, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Planning.
The Office’s statement emphasizes the crucial need for all winners to obtain a biometric passport. The Ministry of Interior is the authorized body responsible for managing the registration process.
Prospective pilgrims must secure their biometric passports before November 30th, the final deadline for completion. Failure to meet this deadline will automatically result in removal from the list of winners.
The statement also addressed the reserve list for the upcoming Hajj season. The review process has been completed according to the criteria established by the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport, and is valid exclusively for Hajj 2026. Any winner from the reserve list who is not called upon to perform the pilgrimage this season must re-register in next year’s lottery without any prior preference.
