Minister Kamal Bedari stated that the competition for these positions will be announced in the coming days, aiming to bolster teaching capacity within higher education institutions.

Minister Bedari, speaking before the Education Committee of Parliament, also proposed the elevation of six medical annexes to full-fledged faculties, including the Chlef annex. The Minister highlighted the role of affiliated higher teacher training schools in opening avenues for the future employment of over 32,000 professors. He emphasized that these annexes have become a cornerstone in meeting the pedagogical needs of universities.

Furthermore, Minister Bedari proposed a project mandating higher education institutions to prioritize the employment of doctoral degree holders. This project, currently under review, aims to elevate the standard of education by strengthening scientific research and improving the quality of training.

The Ministry has adopted a phased approach to employing doctoral and master’s degree holders. A request has been submitted for 3000 financial positions for the new fiscal year to address the growing demands of universities and expand the academic base.

Parliament’s Education Committee Chairman, Zakaria Belkhir, praised the decision to monitor attendance in universities, noting its effectiveness in fostering student discipline. He also acknowledged new agreements concerning the funding of university residences.
