Boulbina Sets High Goals for Algeria in 2025 Arab Cup

DOHA – Algerian national team forward, Adel Boulbina, has declared the team’s unwavering ambition to defend their title at the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar. In an exclusive statement, Boulbina emphasized the team’s readiness to face any opponent in the tournament, highlighting their determination to retain the crown won in the 2021 edition.

Algeria is scheduled to begin their campaign against Sudan, followed by matches against Bahrain and Iraq later in the month. Boulbina’s arrival at the tournament coincides with a peak in his form, evidenced by a recent hat-trick in the Asian Champions League.

“We will enter the competition with strength and strive to implement the coach’s instructions to defend our title,” Boulbina stated, acknowledging the challenge ahead. “We are the defending champions, and all other teams will be aiming to dethrone us.”

The Al-Duhail player also extended a call to Algerian fans, urging them to show strong support in the stadiums. “The Algerian fans are always with us, even without an invitation, and we hope they will be a powerful presence at the Arab Cup.”

Boulbina is expected to start on the left wing against Sudan, particularly with the potential absence of Yacine Brahimi due to injury. The 22-year-old is eager to capitalize on this opportunity to showcase his development, having already scored several goals and provided assists for Al-Duhail this season.

Ultimately, Boulbina aims to secure a place in the senior national team, especially after recent comments from coach Vladimir Petkovic, who confirmed he is monitoring the player’s performance and expects more from him to strengthen his chances of representing Algeria in future competitions. DZWatch will continue to provide updates on the team’s progress throughout the tournament.
