Algiers, Algeria – A high-level forum held in Algiers has concluded with a renewed focus on the pressing security and political challenges confronting the African continent. The 12th Forum on Peace and Security in Africa – the Oran Process – distinguished itself by directly addressing these critical issues, according to officials.
Speaking in Algiers on Tuesday, Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, emphasized the unique significance and impact of the forum. He highlighted its dedication to shedding light on the most prominent security and political hurdles facing Africa today.
The forum served as a platform for robust discussions and strategic planning, bringing together leading experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the continent and beyond. Participants examined a range of complex issues, including terrorism, transnational crime, political instability, and the impact of climate change on peace and security.
“The Oran Process provides a crucial space for dialogue and collaboration,” a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated. “By engaging in open and honest discussions, we can develop effective strategies to address the root causes of conflict and promote lasting peace and stability in Africa.”
