Algiers, Algeria – Samsung, in collaboration with the École Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique (ESI), has launched the third edition of its Samsung Innovation Campus program. The initiative aims to equip Algerian students with the skills needed to become future leaders in advanced technology.
Forty students from ESI are participating in this intensive training program, a result of a strategic partnership between Samsung and the esteemed Algerian institution.
The program, which extends until the end of January 2026, offers a comprehensive curriculum blending theoretical learning with practical application. The course incorporates asynchronous learning through an e-learning platform featuring videos, tutorials, and interactive exercises. Live sessions, led by industry experts, are also included to deepen understanding of core concepts.
A key component is the Capstone Project, supervised by a mentor, allowing students to apply their acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios. This hands-on experience is designed to solidify their understanding and build practical skills.
The program covers a wide range of artificial intelligence (AI) fundamentals, including data processing, machine learning, and deep learning. Essential mathematical concepts such as statistics, probability, and linear algebra are also addressed, alongside Python programming.
Participants are expected to dedicate approximately twenty hours per week to their studies to ensure full comprehension of all modules. This commitment is crucial for mastering the challenging material.
Following the theoretical phase, students transition to the practical application stage. They will collaborate on a final group project, guided by a mentor. This project challenges them to tackle a real-world AI problem, develop innovative solutions, and present their findings to an evaluation committee. This process enhances their organizational, development, and solution defense skills.
The Samsung Innovation Campus seeks to cultivate a generation of innovators capable of driving advancements in technology, with a strong emphasis on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The program underscores the importance of hands-on learning in preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
