The alert indicates that substantial rainfall is anticipated across the wilayas of Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Chlef, Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, Mascara, Relizane, northern Tiaret, and Tissemsilt. Rainfall amounts are projected to range between 20 and 40 millimeters, with the potential to reach or exceed 50 millimeters, particularly in coastal areas.
These weather changes are expected to begin at 11 PM tonight, continuing until 11 PM on Wednesday. Residents in these areas should take precautions to mitigate potential flooding and related hazards.
Furthermore, the weather service has warned of additional disturbances affecting the wilayas of Ain Defla, Tipaza, Algiers, Blida, Medea, Boumerdes, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, northern Setif, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, and El Tarf. Rainfall in these regions is forecast to range between 20 and 40 millimeters, potentially reaching or exceeding 50 millimeters along the eastern coastline.
The onset of this rainfall is expected around midday on Wednesday, persisting until 6 AM on Thursday.
