Algeria, Egypt Strengthen African Coordination on Sidelines of Oran Process

Algiers – Algeria and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering African coordination during the 12th edition of the High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, known as the “Oran Process.” The meeting took place on the sidelines of the seminar, providing a crucial platform for discussions between the two nations.

The Algerian Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of African Affairs, Salama Bakhta Mansouri, received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abu Bakr Hafni. The meeting served to underscore the deep-rooted historical ties between Algeria and Egypt, and the strong relationship between the two brotherly peoples.

During the discussions, both parties explored avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation and accelerate progress across various political, economic, and security domains. They also addressed a number of priority African issues, exchanging perspectives on the challenges facing the continent.
