Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed his country’s strong desire to elevate bilateral relations with Algeria to the “highest level possible.” The announcement came on Wednesday following discussions with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In a joint press statement, President Lukashenko described his visit to Algeria as “historic” and emphasized a shared “pragmatic approach” with President Tebboune. He affirmed Belarus’s commitment to strengthening ties across various sectors.
During their talks, the two leaders addressed bilateral cooperation and pertinent international issues. President Lukashenko conveyed his “admiration” for Algeria’s progress, particularly in advanced technologies. He also expressed satisfaction with the “very important” agreements reached between the two nations.
The Belarusian President further stated Belarus’s readiness to share its expertise, capabilities, and technologies with Algeria in numerous fields. He highlighted Algeria’s potential for “very promising” investment opportunities, signaling a deepening of economic ties.
President Lukashenko extended an invitation to President Tebboune, along with members of the Algerian government and experts, to visit Belarus, fostering continued dialogue and collaboration between the two countries. This invitation underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthening their partnership and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
