The National Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CNSAPB) is now operational, the Ministry of National Defence has announced. This follows Presidential Decree No. 21-285, dated July 13, 2021, which establishes the regulatory framework for the management of unmanned aircraft systems, commonly known as drones, within Algeria.
According to the Ministry, all Algerian citizens who own drones are required to register their systems with the CNSAPB. The deadline for registration is April 30, 2026.
To register, individuals must schedule an appointment in advance. Appointments can be booked by calling either 021905669 or 021905670. Alternatively, appointments can be requested via email at CONTACT-CNSAPB@MDN.DZ. Applicants are advised to bring all necessary documentation with them when visiting the center.
The establishment of the CNSAPB and the mandatory registration of drones mark a significant step in regulating the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in Algeria. This initiative aims to ensure the safe and responsible operation of drones, addressing potential security concerns and promoting compliance with national regulations.
