Manama – Just hours before the highly anticipated match between Bahrain and Algeria, Bahrain’s national team coach, Dragan Talajić, has made bold statements, declaring his team ready for a “challenging and intense” encounter against a formidable opponent.

Talajić, speaking at a press conference, emphasized the difficulty of the match for both sides. “We deeply respect the Algerian team and understand the quality of the opposition we face,” he said. “We hope luck will be on our side in this important game.”

The Bahraini coach also took the opportunity to congratulate Algeria on their qualification for the 2026 World Cup, praising the rising level of the ‘Greens’ and affirming that the achievement deserves utmost respect.

Talajić addressed the condition of goalkeeper Ibrahim Lutfalla, who is currently nursing an injury. He expressed gratitude to the medical staff for their efforts and voiced his hope that the player would not require surgery.

Concluding his remarks with a confident tone, Talajić stated, “The best team in the world is my players. Yes, everyone makes mistakes, but I am confident that they will be ready against Algeria.”

With this fighting spirit, the Bahraini team enters the match against the ‘Desert Warriors’ with great ambition, in what promises to be one of the highlights of the tournament. DZWatch will provide live coverage and analysis of the match as it unfolds.
