Algiers International Film Festival Opens its 12th Edition

Algiers, Algeria – The 12th edition of the Algiers International Film Festival (AIFF) officially commenced on Thursday in Algiers, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture and Arts, Malika Bendouda.

The festival, which runs until December 10th, promises a rich program of cinematic experiences and cultural exchange. This year, the Republic of Cuba is the guest of honor, adding a special focus on Cuban cinema and its contributions to the global film landscape.

The opening ceremony was a vibrant affair, attended by filmmakers, actors, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts from Algeria and around the world. Minister Bendouda highlighted the festival’s importance in promoting Algerian cinema and fostering international collaborations.
