Doha, Qatar – The Algerian Embassy in Doha has officially inaugurated its newly renovated consular section. The inauguration ceremony, held on Thursday, was led by the President of the Council of the Nation, Azzouz Nasseri, during his official visit to the embassy.
According to a statement released by the upper house of the Algerian Parliament, Nasseri, accompanied by the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Sayhi, oversaw the opening of the refurbished consular section located within the embassy premises. Several members of the Algerian community residing in Qatar were present at the event.
During the ceremony, Nasseri delivered a speech conveying the greetings of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. He emphasized the President’s “special attention to the national community abroad,” highlighting the various measures implemented to enable them to maintain strong ties with their homeland.
Nasseri also called upon members of the Algerian diaspora to be exemplary ambassadors for their country. He urged them to “actively participate in the endeavors of a victorious Algeria,” as stated in the official statement. The revamped consular section aims to provide enhanced services and support to the growing Algerian community in Qatar, further strengthening the bond between Algeria and its citizens abroad.
