Civil Protection services responded to an emergency call at 9:48 AM local time today, following reports of two people suffering from suspected gas inhalation. The victims were discovered at a residence in the Amirouche neighborhood, located within the municipality and district of Hussein Dey. The source of the carbon monoxide was traced to a faulty water heater within the home.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found both individuals exhibiting severe symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, both victims succumbed to the effects of the deadly gas. Their bodies were subsequently transported to the morgue at the local hospital for further examination.
