The Ministry of National Defense announced today the swift medical evacuation of ten individuals injured in a tragic bus accident in Beni Abbes province. The accident, which occurred on Saturday, resulted in the deaths of 14 people, including two members of the People’s National Army.
According to a statement released by the ministry, the injured, comprising six military personnel and four civilians, were immediately transported to a military hospital for urgent care. The rapid transfer was carried out under the directives of Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army.
“Following the devastating traffic accident that occurred on Saturday, December 6, 2025, involving a passenger bus overturning in Beni Abbes province, which tragically claimed the lives of 14 citizens, including two members of the People’s National Army, and left several injured, and acting upon the instructions of Lieutenant General Said Chengriha… ten injured individuals were promptly airlifted to the Central Army Hospital in Ain Naadja, First Military Region,” the ministry’s statement detailed.
Among those evacuated are six members of the People’s National Army and four civilian citizens, all of whom are now receiving the necessary medical treatment and care. The Ministry emphasized its commitment to providing comprehensive support to the injured and the families affected by this tragic event.
The Central Army Hospital in Ain Naadja is equipped to handle such emergencies and is providing the best possible care to the patients. This incident underscores the importance of road safety and the need for vigilance on the part of all drivers.
