Algerian PM in Tunisia for High-Level Joint Commission

Prime Minister Sifi Grib arrived in Tunis on Thursday, leading a high-level ministerial delegation for an official visit. The visit coincides with the 23rd session of the High Joint Algerian-Tunisian Commission for Cooperation.

The Prime Minister was received at Carthage International Airport by the Head of the Tunisian Government, Sara Zafrani. This session is being held in accordance with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Tunisian President Kais Saied, reflecting the shared desire to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and historical solidarity between the two countries and their people.

This session marks a new milestone in enhancing bilateral cooperation and discussing ways to improve relations between the two sides. Discussions will focus on major issues aimed at promoting bilateral partnerships, supporting investment, and removing obstacles to the development of economic exchanges. Both parties are keen to strengthen cooperation in the development of border areas, with the goal of transforming them into spaces for cooperation and shared prosperity.

The ministerial delegation accompanying the Prime Minister includes key figures such as Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs; Mohamed Arkab, Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines; Said Sayoud, Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport; Abdelkrim Bouzerd, Minister of Finance; Yahya Bouchir, Minister of Industry; Wassim Kouidri, Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry; Mehdi Yacine Walid, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries; Kamal Rezig, Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion; Walid Sadi, Minister of Sports, and Omar Rekkache, Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency.

This visit underscores the commitment of both Algeria and Tunisia to deepening their strategic partnership across various sectors. The discussions are expected to yield concrete outcomes that will further solidify the bilateral relationship.
