Ghelizane, Algeria – The construction of 1,500 new AADL 3 (Agence Amélioration et Développement du Logement) housing units has officially commenced in the Ghelizane province. The project launch was overseen by the Director-General of AADL and the Governor of Ghelizane, Kamal Berkan, during a ceremony held on Saturday, marking a significant step forward in the national housing program.
According to a statement released by AADL, this initiative represents the ninth phase in the ongoing implementation of the AADL 3 program across various provinces of Algeria. This aligns with the directives of the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, to expand access to affordable housing for Algerian citizens.
The AADL 3 scheme focuses on providing subsidized rental-purchase housing options to eligible applicants. The nationwide rollout of AADL 3 began with the first project in Constantine, initiated under the guidance of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Since then, a total of 21,215 AADL 3 housing units have been allocated across several provinces.
The breakdown of allocated units includes:
- 8,050 units in the Sissaoui urban pole, Constantine
- 1,600 units in the El Bakarat urban pole, Ouargla
- 2,000 units in the Ouled Khaled urban pole, Saida
- 1,400 units in Medea
- 1,000 units in Boulhaf Dir, Tebessa
- 2,400 units in Mascara
- 1,150 units in Laghouat
- 2,115 units in M’Sila
- 1,500 units in Ghelizane
The Ghelizane project is expected to significantly contribute to addressing the housing needs of the province’s residents and is a testament to the government’s commitment to providing decent and affordable housing for all Algerians.
