The National Pension Fund (NPR) will organize the fourth annual Social Assistance at Home Week from December 14th to 20th, 2025. This year’s theme is: “Social Assistance at Home: A Public Service with Human Values.”
The initiative aims to raise awareness about the mechanisms and services available to pensioners and their beneficiaries, particularly those with disabilities, impairments, and special needs. The NPR seeks to foster a more humane relationship and improve the handling of their concerns.
According to a statement released by the Fund, the Social Assistance at Home program assisted over 29,000 pensioners and beneficiaries in 2025. This assistance includes support in completing administrative procedures to obtain medical equipment and supplies, such as walking aids, wheelchairs, and hearing aids, without requiring them to travel between various government offices.
As part of its efforts to modernize public services, the National Pension Fund offers remote Social Assistance at Home services through the “My Retirement” mobile application and the pensioner portal. This allows beneficiaries to request medical equipment electronically and easily schedule visits with a social worker.
Through its various local agencies, the Fund relies on qualified social workers who are responsible for selecting eligible pensioners for visits based on the national registry of pensioners registered with social security services, following specific and defined criteria.
The Social Assistance at Home program embodies the Algerian state’s sector policy and its commitment to strengthening the social dimension and achieving social justice. It ensures care and follow-up for all pensioners, particularly vulnerable groups, guaranteeing their rights and access to services and benefits under the best possible conditions. The NPR is committed to providing excellent service to all pensioners.
