Algiers, Algeria – The University of Algiers 2 has announced the opening of applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship program for the 2026-2027 academic year. This initiative aims to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between Algeria and the People’s Republic of China.
The scholarships are available to top-performing students currently enrolled in the second year of their Master’s (M2) program or the fifth year of Engineering studies during the 2025-2026 academic year. Successful applicants will pursue doctoral (PhD) studies at a Chinese university.
The deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2026. The University emphasizes that this deadline is firm and will not be extended to ensure timely processing of applications and their subsequent transmission to the relevant authorities.
Applicants must ensure their application files are complete and accurate, adhering to all specified requirements. Students who have already received university acceptance from a Chinese institution are required to include proof of acceptance in their application package.
Applications must be submitted digitally as PDF files, accompanied by an Excel file, all compiled into a single compressed file per institution. Submission will be done through a dedicated online portal.
